For Mikey, construction isn’t just a career—it’s in his blood. Growing up, he was surrounded by family deeply involved in the industry, learning the ropes from his parents and uncle. After high school, he spent eight years in electrical construction before transitioning into heavy highway work, where he specialized in pipework and infrastructure development. Over the years, Mikey honed his skills as a large equipment operator, mastering everything from fencing and seeding to erosion control—essential elements of high-quality, lasting construction.

The Backbone of the Business

While Mikey brings the technical expertise, Courtney provides the operational backbone. With over eight years of experience as an administrative coordinator, she managed office functions, staff oversight, and financial compliance for various organizations. As a former training manager, she excelled in hiring, onboarding, and employee development—key skills that now help Gold Buckle Construction build a strong, dedicated team. From processing payroll and administering benefits to managing the bidding process and tracking budgets, Courtney ensures the business runs smoothly and efficiently.
