• This person will load, unload, or identify materials, machinery, and/or tools, distributing them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans or specifications. Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials. Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things. Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as pneumatic roller, skid loader or passenger vehicles.

    This position requires:

  • This person will be running various pieces of equipment, such as skid loader, excavator, payloader, pneumatic roller, side dumps and semis in a safe manner. Set up and/or inspect equipment prior to operation. Become familiar with digging plans, machine capabilities and limitations, and efficient and safe digging procedures in a given application. Observe hand signals, grade stakes, or other markings when operating machines so that work can be performed to specifications. This individual will provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person

    Qualifications:

    • Basic construction and equipment safety knowledge

    • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance

    • Individual must be team oriented and reliable

    This position requires:

    • A valid Driver's License

    • Individual must be able to stand, sit, walk, carry, lift, shovel, climb, kneeling, crawling

    • The ability to quickly respond (with the hand, finger, or foot) to a signal (sound, light, picture) when it appears

    • Individual must be able to work in adverse weather conditions

    Compensation Details:

    • Starting Wage: $25.00 + per hour depending on experience

  • This person will be maneuvering trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned. Will need the ability to use equipment, such as CB radios, phones, or global positioning systems (GPS) equipment to exchange necessary information with supervisors and/or other equipment operators. Also, skilled to perform emergency roadside repairs, such as changing tires or installing light bulbs, tire chains, or spark plugs and drive trucks to weigh stations before and after loading and along routes in compliance with state regulations.

    Qualifications:

    • Basic construction and equipment safety knowledge

    • Experience with side dump and lowboy

    This position requires:

    • A valid Commercial Driver's License

    • Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations
